Nahum 1:7

The LORD is good,
a refuge in times of trouble,
He cares for those who trust in him.

This verse is awesome for a ton of reasons.  It causes me to reflect on my lack of ability to take refuge in Him in every time of trouble. I think we are particularly good at seeking refuge in Him when our troubles reach a certain magnitude.  However, the truth is that God wants to be involved in the everyday struggles of our lives, not just the big things.  We often carry so much confidence in ourselves that we have to remember that we always need Him.  (I feel this may be a reason for why He has us endure more difficult remind us of His strength and our need for it, and our ability to find comfort in the need to fully rely of Him.)  This is beautiful.

Also, He cares for us, in a way that only He can.  We need that care, and can only receive it from Him.  Without it, we are helpless, regardless of how much care we receive from others.  It is important to remember that in order to live the life He has planned for us.  In order for Him to be able to care for us, we must place our absolute and complete trust in Him.
